Dairypower Eco-Clean Rope Installation UK

On Wednesday 7th March we visited a Dairypower Eco-Rope installation we made in November for Matthew Smith in Lower Castle Hayes, Staffordshire.

Matthew is milking a herd cross between Montbeliard and Holstein and decided to put up a new unit to house his cows for the winter. After an intensive design / product research he decided on installing our Dairypower Eco-Clean Rope scraper system along with Easyfix Cubicles, Feed Alley Mats and Jupiter Cubicle Mats.

The scraper system is programmed to clean every 2 hours so the building and cubicles are always clean.  The Dairypower Hydraulic Rope Scraper is a unique system which incorporates a hydraulic motor and winch unit to clean barn alley ways.  It does not use an electric motor as traditionally used in Rope Scraper Systems, it instead uses a hydraulic motor which is driven with a hydraulic power pack, the same as used in our Ratchet Scraper System which has been tried and tested over the past 30+ years.

Before the new building, the herd average was just above 38 litres a day and now due to the comfort of the new building, the yield average is up at 42 litres a day.
